Best Damn Poker Show Season Two Debuts January 12th

The beginning of 2009 has been a busy one for fans of poker on television. Last Sunday, the seventh season of the World Poker Tour kicked off on Fox Sports Net. Recently, the fifth season of “Poker After Dark” began airing on NBC. Poker enthusiasts can mark their calendars for Monday, January 12th, the date of the first of seven new episodes of the Best Damn Poker Show.

Utah Representative to Introduce Resolution on Internet Gambling

According to the Salt Lake Tribune newspaper, Utah State Representative Sheryl Allen (R-Bountiful) is seeking to introduce House Resolution 1, which asserts that the decision whether or not to adopt gambling should belong solely to the states. While Utah has managed to stunt land-based forms of gambling, Allen told the Tribune, "Computers made it much easier to gamble."
